VIP surprise at development’s grand opening

Visitors to the grand opening of Botanical Apartments in Subiaco last month may have been surprised to bump into celebrated Australian sports commentator Dennis Cometti as they toured the building’s rooftop leisure amenities and the few apartments still for sale.

Mr Cometti, who voiced the radio advertisements for the open house, was among the VIPs invited by developer Edge Visionary Living to help celebrate the occasion, which attracted more than 1000 people.

“Residents of Botanical Apartments certainly seem to have everything they need in terms of exercise, rest and relaxation,” Mr Cometti said. “It’s a very impressive set-up.”

The resort-style rooftop amenities include a 25m-long infinity edge pool, a large, fully equipped gymnasium, sauna and steam room, yoga retreat and multiple outdoor dining facilities. There is also a spectacular dining and entertainment area that can act as a function room plus a rooftop cinema for Perth’s summer evenings.

The first residents moved into Botanical Apartments in February and have been enjoying all the amenities and the Subiaco lifestyle ever since.

Comprising 74 apartments over six levels, the project was more than 90 percent sold prior to completion. The handful still available were open to view at last month’s event.

Edge Visionary Living Managing Director, Gavin Hawkins said feedback on the apartments and leisure facilities had been very positive.

“Many of the people who came through the apartments live locally, but there were others who came from further afield, including Hillarys, Maylands and Applecross, to see what an apartment can offer,” Mr Hawkins said.

The lifts were kept especially busy as visitors headed to the rooftop to check out the amenities available to residents and their guests.

“as is the case with all Edge Visionary Living developments, the resort-style facilities are best-of-breed,” Mr Hawkins said.

The complex features modern architecture and an abundance of natural light and space, according to Mr Hawkins, who said visitors were particularly impressed by the leafy atrium entrance.

Mr Hawkins said 2019 was an exciting time for Edge Visionary Living, with its Vantage Apartments project in Rivervale due to be completed later this year, Arthouse in Joondalup just starting construction and Eden in Floreat set to begin construction next month.
