A breath of fresh air

Proximity at The Springs, Rivervale is a six-storey residential tower set back above a two-storey commercial podium. Its 89 variously-sized apartments offer affordable, quality living spaces which are close to the city and major transport links.

Our goal was to create a development which would significantly contribute to the precinct’s lively and diverse character by providing entry-level housing in a river-side location.

The building is a highly-articulated, contemporary piece of architecture featuring a mix of hard and soft finishes. The sensuous sweep of the timber façade elements softens the building form. Various cantilevered elements create an attractive building façade with artist-designed screens and soft landscaping activating the pedestrian experience.

One of the building’s most striking features is its sky gardens. As well as being visually appealing, these gardens produce fresh air, provide natural ventilation and reduce the building’s heating and cooling costs.

In keeping with our environmental philosophy, other progressive systems are employed to ensure appropriate and practical sustainability.
